NHS ‘reforms’ information events in Brighton & Hove

“NHS Brighton and Hove is organising three public events to outline national changes happening in the NHS and explain how these will affect people and health services in the city. The planned changes include GPs and clinicians, such as GP practice nurses, taking a far more active role in commissioning local health services – from hospital care and mental health support to substance misuse services.”

* Wednesday 16 February: Friends Meeting House 6 pm – 9 pm
* Tuesday, 22 February: Hove Town Hall, 10 am – 1 pm
* Tuesday 22 February: Valley Social Centre in Whitehawk, 6 pm – 9 pm

(anyone wanting to attend these meetings has to book in advance on 01273 574653 or email lynn.smyth@bhcpct.nhs.uk)

These ‘reforms’ are an open attack on the Welfare State. They will hasten the privatisation of the NHS and we strongly oppose them.

There will be a picket of the meeting on Wednesday 16th February at the Friends Meeting House.
Called by Keep Our NHS Public and supported by Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition.
