Last Saturday nearly 2000 people marched through the streets of Brighton to show their opposition to the cuts and privatisation of public services.

Speakers included Caroline Lucas MP,  Dot Gibson of the Pensioners Network,  Trades Unionists,  students, and representatives of the Bright Start nursery, Connexions Service, the Unemployed Workers Centre, and Brighton Benefits Campaign, whose call for solidarity with those on benefits was very well received.

There will be a meeting on Monday 8 November at 7.30pm in the Brighthelm Centre, for all those who want to join the Brighton Stop the Cuts Coalition in planning further action, and to organise local anti-cuts groups in all parts of the city.
